Oluwa Becomes Chairman Ibeju Lekki Council Of Baales
The Baale Oluwa Community in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos state, has been named as the Chairman Council of Baales, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The inauguration of High Chief Adewale Oluwa as the Chairman Council of Baales Ibeju-Lekki local government was held at the Igando in the Local Government Secretariat.
The attendance had notable indigenes, Chiefs among other members of the Baale in Council in the local government.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony Ibeju-Lekki number one man, Hon. Sesan Olowa, spoke on the significance of the Ibeju-Lekki Council of Baales as they played pivotal roles towards grassroots development and community relations.
He stated that Baales in their various communities preserve and promote the culture and tradition of the people by extension bridge the gap between the government and the people, leveraging on available opportunities to upscale their domain.
Hon. Olowa popularly referred to as JAJA, explained that the Council of Baale's has gone a long way to maintain peace in their localities, pointing out that they should continue to toe the path of development by complementing government's efforts in nation building.
The world class engineer turned Council Chairman, explained that democratic government entails inclusiveness as such the significance of community leaders who are providing good governance cannot be over emphasized. He pointed out that the Council of Baales should continue to support government initiatives at all times by changing the narrative positively.
Speaking during an interview with the building material merchant, turned Chairman Ibeju-Lekki Council of Baale, High Chief Adewale Oluwa said he rededicated his appointment to the will of Allah and that of the people, stating that he would build on the accomplishment of his predecessors in office towards ensuring that democracy dividends is delivered to the door steps of the people.
He spoke on some of his initiatives in office, pointing out that he would ensure peace and harmony among members and also encourage members that have not been gazetted to do the needful so that they would be recognized by all government establishment.
Baale Oluwa community emphasized that the Council of Baale would build cordial relationship with all relevant agencies and critical stakeholders in the state by leveraging available opportunities to enhance social infrastructural development.
He hinted that the executive members of the Association are fully prepared to build a functional secretariat for the Council of Baales so as to enhance administrations to meet up with global demands.
He however commended the State Governor Babajide Sanwolu for the dualization of the Epe-Ajah expressway which has reduced productive hours being wasted in traffic and also enhancing trade relations in the area.
He agitated for the establishment of a tertiary institution in the local government area so that students in the area will not need to travel several kilometers before acquiring tertiary education.
He enjoined the Governor to approve the construction of additional road networks in the area and also demolish structures obstructing free flow of water in the council area.
He hinted that canals should be dredged to reduce flooding during rainy season so that the area will not be submerged with water.
Baale Oluwa solicit for cooperation among the members of the Council so that maximum success could be attained, enjoining members to also carry out constructive criticisms about the organization and always chart away forward.
